„Visionen interdisziplinärer Medienethik und Mediatisierung“
Das Interdisciplinary Media Ethics Center hat seit seiner Gründung die Reflexion auf die Verantwortung für und den Widerstand gegen eine epochale Mediatisierung in den Mittelpunkt gestellt. In mehreren Konferenzen und Publikationen wurde diese Reflexion konkretisiert, so die ethische Kritik der technisch mediatisierten Welt (Ludwigsburg), die anthropologische Kritik der mediatisierten Person unter Bedingungen der Ökonomisierung und Digitalisierung (St. Pölten), die rechtlichen und ethischen Schnittstellen und Herausforderungen einer mediatisierten Gesellschaft (Klagenfurt) sowie die normativen Vermittlungsprozesse und Diversität in mediatisierten Gesellschaften (Dortmund).
Die Jahrestagung 2022 thematisiert in Form einer experts conference erneut die Bedeutung der Mediatisierung in ihrer gegenwärtigen Ausprägung für ein interdisziplinäres Verständnis der Medienethik – methodisch, wissenschaftstheoretisch, didaktisch sowie fokussiert auf die realen Herausforderungen medialer Praxen.
Erbeten werden Beiträge, die mögliche Perspektiven diese Thematik beleuchten:
– im Rahmen einer Präsentation (30 min Vortrag, 45 min Diskussion)
– im Rahmen einer Poster-Session (30 min Präsentation und Diskussion)

Es ist erwünscht, dass die angenommenen Einreichungen als argumentativ entfalteter Text (max. 5000 Zeichen) vor Beginn der Tagung vorliegen.
Unmittelbar nach der Tagung werden die ausgearbeiteten Beiträge in der Reihe des IMEC „Ethik in mediatisierten Welten“, Wiesbaden, Springer VS, publiziert werden.

„Visions of Interdisciplinary Media Ethics and Mediatization.“
Since its foundation, the Interdisciplinary Media Ethics Center has focused on the reflection on the responsibility for and the resistance against an epochal mediatization. This reflection has been concretized in several conferences and publications, such as the ethical critique of the technically mediatized world (Ludwigsburg), the anthropological critique of the mediatized person under conditions of economization and digitalization (St. Pölten), the legal and ethical interfaces and challenges of a mediatized society (Klagenfurt), and the normative mediation processes and diversity in mediatized societies (Dortmund).
The annual conference 2022 will again address the significance of mediatization in its current form for an interdisciplinary understanding of media ethics in the form of an experts conference – methodologically, in terms of scientific theory, didactically, and with a focus on the real challenges of media practices.
Contributions are invited that shed light on possible perspectives on this topic:
– in the context of a presentation (30 min lecture, 45 min discussion)
– in the context of a poster session (30 min presentation and discussion)

Immediately after the conference, the elaborated papers will be published in the IMEC series „Ethics in mediatized worlds“, Wiesbaden, Springer VS.
